Action initiated

The BBMP has initiated action against the telephone service provider Airtel for cutting a road in BTM Layout in violation of the permission granted.

According to a press release, Airtel had secured permission from BBMP for road-cutting at BTM Layout 5th crossroad. However, the company was found engaged in road-cutting work at 11th Main Road for which no permission was granted by the BBMP.
