Students asked to draw inspiration from the freedom fighter, on his 77th death anniversary ANANTAPUR: The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation, Socialist Unity Centre of India, All India Mahila Samskruthika Sangham, All India Democratic Youth Organisation and Communist Party of India (Marxist) paid rich tributes to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his 77th death anniversary here on Sunday. District secretary of SUCI B.S. Amarnath, AIMSS State president G. Lalitha, AIDSO State secretary M. Raghavendra, B. Suryasagar of Janasahiti, M. Subramanyam, Prabhavathi and others garlanded the statue of Bhagat Singh in the Tower Clock circle here. Speaking at a meeting organised on the occasion they termed the late leader as a great ideologue and revolutionary. His fight was not only against the British but it was also against the exploitation of poor by the rich and the systems supporting such exploitation. It was also against capitalistic abuse, imperialistic suppression and for complete freedom. They asked the students and youth to draw inspiration from Bhagat Singh and fight the ills in the society and work towards socialism. CPI (M) leader A. Manohar warned the US interference in the internal affairs of India.
