Kanpur: A couple was killed and their son injured when the car in which they were travelling was hit by a truck near Chaubepur here, police said. Dr. Y.P. Singh, along with his wife and son, was on the way to Kanpur from Kannauj in his car over the weekend when an over-speeding truck hit the car near Chaubepur, killing the couple on the spot, said SSP Anand Swarup. The couple’s son was critically injured in the incident. Dr. Singh, a resident of Gobind Nagar, was working at an insurance hospital. Driver of the truck is at large.
