Couple sustain burns

MALAPPURAM: A couple travelling on a motorbike sustained burns after they were hit by a tanker lorry at Pallikkal Bazaar in the district on Sunday. Vennakkode Madathil Sulfikar, 26, and his wife, Raseena, 20, of Vallikkunnu sustained burns when the tanker lorry hit them after hitting an electric post and a power transformer. A fire broke out when a live power cable fell on the diesel from the tanker and oil from the transformer.
