HYDERABAD: A day after the simmering differences among them came to the fore, the senior Congress leaders appear to have decided to take some more time before announcing a fresh course of action. Senior leaders have decided to meet on Sunday to discuss the developments that occurred after their meeting with All India Congress Committee President Sonia Gandhi. Seniors who conferred at CWC member G. Venkatswamy’s residence on Saturday announced that they would chalk out the future course of action and communicate it this afternoon. The meeting was, however, put off till March 29 as efforts have reportedly been launched to ensure a patch up between Mr. Venkatswamy and another senior leader V. Purushottam Reddy who demanded the former’s resignation to prove his commitment to Telangana. “The two have been trying for one-upmanship in the meetings, but that will not serve the purpose,” a senior leader said.
