Rahul Gandhi CHAMARAJANAGAR: AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit B.R. Hills in Chamarajanagar district on Tuesday. According to sources, Mr. Gandhi will visit the Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra (VGKK) and interact with the Soligas there. He will also visit Muthugada Gaddhe, a tribal hadi (settlement). He will meet Congress workers at Yelandur, Santhemaralli, Ummathore, Kavalande and Begur en route to Nagarahole, where he will stay overnight. The Soligas will express their problems to Mr. Gandhi. The VGKK campus is gearing up to extend a warm welcome to him. Security has been tightened at B.R. Hills in view of Mr. Gandhi’s visit. An SPG team inspected the various places the Congress leader is going to visit. On Sunday, KPCC president M. Mallikarjun Kharge visited B.R. Hills and Muthugada Gaddhe to review the arrangements. He told presspersons that Mr. Gandhi would study the conditions of tribal people and what should be done to improve their lot. To a question on the speculation about M. Mahadev, former Minister, joining the BJP after the former Chief Minister B.S. Yedduyurappa met him at his house, he said Mr. Mahadev was with the Congress.
