The temporary reprieve for Sarabjit Singh, coming as it did on New Delhi’s initiative, cannot be construed as being definitive. The matter is far from over and neither he nor the people of India have any reason to be at peace. The whole nation must rally behind Sarabjit’s family for his release. The powers that be in both nations should strive for enduring peace, and good neighbourly relations. R. Sampath, Chennai V.
