Software professional ‘kills’ wife, ends life

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: A software professional allegedly killed his wife suspecting her fidelity before hanging himself to death in the Koramangala police limits here on Saturday.

The police gave the names of the couple as Amith Budduraj (30) of Infosys Technologies Ltd. and Rinku Sachadev (28).

It is learnt that Rinku Sachadev was a managing executive with Standard Chartered Bank.

The police said that Amith Budduraj suspected that his wife was involved in an affair with her colleague.

Frustrated with his wife’s behaviour, he could have done away with her, the police added.

The incident came to light on Sunday when one of Amith Budduraj’s friends visited his place.

The police quoted Amith Budduraj’s friend as saying that he knocked on Amith Budduraj’s doors many times and also tried to reach him on his mobile phone. When there was no response, he spoke to the owner of the house and went inside the house with the help of a duplicate key.

Rinku Sachadev’s body was found on the cot while Amith Budduraj’s body was hanging from the ceiling in another room.

The police said Amith Budduraj and Rinku Sachadev married in 2007 in Mumbai.
