Software professional kills wife, hangs himself

BANGALORE: A software professional allegedly killed his wife, suspecting her fidelity, before hanging himself to death here on Saturday.

Police identified the couple as Amith Budhiraj (30) of Infosys Technologies Ltd. and Rinku Sachadev (28). It is learnt that Rinku Sachadev was a managing executive with the Standard Chartered Bank.

The incident came to light on Sunday when Urmila, a friend of Rinku, attempted to contact her over phone. When she did not answer, Urmila went over to her house at 8th Cross of Kormangala 3rd Main.

As no one answered the door bell, she sought the help of the house owner, who opened the door using a duplicate key.

Rinku’s body was on the cot while Amith’s was found hanging from the ceiling in another room.
