Tributes paid to Dr. Lohia

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha L.K. Advani, the Samajwadi Party and several MPs paid tributes to freedom fighter Dr Ram Manohar Lohia on his 98th birth anniversary on Sunday.

A booklet on the life Lohia, brought out in Hindi and English by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, was presented to Mr. Advani and others who laid floral wreaths in front of the portrait of the socialist leader in the Central Hall of Parliament House on the occasion.

Lok Sabha secretary-general P.D.T. Achary, Rajya Sabha secretary-general V.K. Agnihotri, Mohan Singh, Satya Prakash Malviya and Subramaniam Swamy were present at the function.

SP secretary in-charge of Delhi Usha Yadav said his contribution towards the uplift of the poor and downtrodden of the country cannot be forgotten.

They also remembered revolutionaries Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their Martyrdom Day.
