Constable killed

A police constable was killed in a road accident on Melur Road here on Sunday. According to police sources, Jeevanandham, attached to the Armed Reserve Motor Traffic Unit, was returning home in a two-wheeler when a van knocked him down near the Mattuthavani Integrated bus stand. In the impact of the collision, the victim came under the wheels of a city bus. He died on the spot. — Staff Reporter
