Staff Correspondent

MANGALORE: Three persons who were taking a morning stroll on the road in front of All India Radio station at Kadri, allegedly restrained an AIR employee on Friday.

Mistaken identity

Ms. Roche said the accused might have mistaken her for a motorist, who had sped along the road some time earlier. “There is an executive order banning movement of vehicles on this stretch between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. for the sake of joggers and skaters. The AIR employees, who come to work for the morning shift in vehicles face the ire of walkers, she said. A case has been registered.

Ms. Roche said while L.M. Sridhara, a physician entered into a verbal altercation with her, two others, whom she could not identify, allegedly restrained her. Police are investigating the case.
