Government goes in for massive reshuffle of IAS officers

HYDERABAD: The State Government late on Sunday evening effected large-scale transfers of IAS officers, including a Special Chief Secretary and 14 Principal Secretaries.

Prominent among those given new postings include Special Chief Secretary, V. P. Jauhari, as Director General, Dr. MCR HRD Institute, Rachel Chatterjee who was made Principal Secretary (PS), Social Welfare after serving as CMD, APTransco for six long years and D. Lakshmi Parthasarathy Bhaskar, as Principal Secretary, Tourism.

Ajey Kallam will be the new CMD of APTRANSCO and S. V. Prasad, new Chairman of APGENCO. Other Principal Secretary postings are Chitra Ramachandran, (Panchayati Raj & Rural Development) Chitta Ranjan Biswal (Agriculture), I.Y.R. Krishna Rao (Finance), N. Ramesh Kumar (Finance), Lingaraj Panigrahi (Minorities Welfare), A.K. Parida, Special Commissioner (CCLA), S. Bhale Rao (Public Enterprises), G. Sudhir (Commercial Taxes, Excise) and J. Ramanand (Transport). S. E. Sekhar Babu, has been posted as Secretary (Finance) and S. Balasubramanyam, Additional Secretary (Services).

District Collectors posted include Gopalakrishna Dwivedi (East Godavari) and Navin Mittal (Hyderabad) while those given postings as Joint Collectors were G. Ramanarayana Reddy (Krishna), S. Suresh Kumar (Chittoor), G. Rajendra Prasad (Nellore), B. Ramaiah (Vizianagaram) and Saurabh Gaur (Nizamabad).

Other postings are G. Venkat Ram Reddy, Joint Secretary, Women Development and Child Welfare, G. Balaramaiah, Director, School Education and Lav Agarwal, Director, Intermediate Education and A. V. Dharma Reddy, Joint Executive Officer, TTD.

Among those posted as administrators of public utilities and other agencies are K.S. Jawahar Reddy as vice-chairman, Hyderabad Urban Development Authority, G. Asok Kumar, MD, Hyderabad Metrowater Supply and Sewerage Board, D. Chakrapani, MD, AP Health, Medical & Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation, M. Subramanyam, VC & MD, APSC Co-op Finance Corporation, M. Jagadeeswar, PD, AP Urban Services for the Poor.

Those posted as commissioners include S.K. Sinha (Sericulture), S. Chellappa (Inquiries), B. Aravinda Reddy (Registration & Stamps dept), A. Vidyasagar (Social Welfare), A.R.
