Flight carrying Chief Minister delayed

Nedumbassery: A Thiruvananthapuram-bound flight boarded by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan here was delayed by half an hour following an alarm beep that triggered panic among the passengers and the crew. The Kingfisher Airlines flight (no. IT 2883), which arrived here from Goa, via Kozhikode, was scheduled to leave at 6 p.m. The sound came from the cargo side of the aircraft. On inspection, the airline officials found that it originated from a timepiece box. The flight took off after a thorough inspection by the airline officials. — A Correspondent
