Chennai: With the 11th and final round of the TNCA first division cricket league having to be abandoned due to rain and wet ground conditions, Jolly Rovers (52 points), Grand Slam (49), Vijay (45) and Aruna (43) entered the semifinals here on Sunday. Eagles (17) and IOB (30) have been relegated to the second division. IOB, since its entry into the first division in 1968, has been relegated for the first time. Aruna, which re-entered the first division only last season, has, creditably, qualified for the knock-out phase. Points tally after all the 11 rounds: Jolly Rovers 52; Grand Slam 49; Vijay 45; Aruna 43; India Pistons 39; Youngstars 37; Parry’s 36; Globe Trotters 36; Indian Bank 33; IOB 30 and Eagles 17. — Special Correspondent
