Moulding children

PUDUCHERRY: It was a special day for the Montessori students of Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School as they received their diplomas at the Graduation Day held on March 19.

School correspondent Vincent Durairaj underlined the role of parents and teachers in moulding the character and behaviour of the children.

To encourage and motivate the tiny tots, the school gave away certificates for academics and other extra curricular activities.

The school also conducted the prize distribution for the academic year 2007-2008 on March 17. The officer-bearers of the Parents Teachers’ Association presented prizes and certificates to the students for general proficiency and various other competitions.

St. Patrick Matriculation Higher Secondary School celebrated the feast day of its patron saint, St. Patrick, recently. A special mass was held as part of the celebrations. Around 850 persons including students, teachers and parents participated in the mass.
