BERHAMPUR: A 62-year-old man who had allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl had to face the wrath of inhabitants of Gosaninuagaon before he was arrested by police. This incident occurred at Totasahi lane of Gosaninuagaon area. The old man, Baina Behera, had noticed that the girl’s mother worked as domestic help. During her absence, Baina had lured the child to his home and raped her. The girl described her plight to locals. The enraged locales attacked Baina. According to the officer in charge of the police station, Jyotiranjan Samantray, the old man confessed his crime.
