Passenger detained

NEDUMBASSERY: Immigration officials at the Cochin international airport at Nedumbassery on Monday detained a passenger who arrived from Dubai on the charge of using a forged passport. The officials said Subair (31), hailing from Thrikkaripur, Kasaragod, possessed a fake passport in the name Pappukutty Prassanan of Kasaragod.

On interrogation, Subair confessed that he had secured the passport from an agent in Dubai on payment of 2,000 dirham after losing his.

He was later handed over to the Crime detachment Wing, Aluva.
