Petition against Chandy, Krishnadas

KOCHI: A petition was filed before the Advocate General seeking sanction to initiate contempt of court proceedings against Opposition leader Oommen Chandy and BJP State president P.K. Krishnadas. According to the petitioner, T. R. Sreedharan of Muvattupuzha, both leaders had made statements on the HMT land deal case which was pending before the court. Their statements amounted to interference with administration of justice and contempt of court, Mr. Sreedharan said. —Special Correspondent
