Cases registered against three firms

CHENNAI: Economic Offences Wing–II police have registered cases against Vasantham Credits, Royapettah, Raising Benefit Fund Ltd and Alacrity Housing Ltd, T. Nagar.

An official release said the companies collected Rs.12 lakh, Rs.16 lakh and Rs.16.52 lakh respectively. They failed to repay the money after the deposits attained maturity.

The EOW initiated criminal proceedings against them. Subsequently, the companies refunded the deposits to those who preferred police complaints.

Depositors of these companies, who had not received the refund could contact Ms. Vendamathi, Sub-Inspector of Police, EOW – II on mobile phone number 99401-82333, the release stated. — Special Correspondent
