Micronutrient plant opened

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Aries Agro Ltd on Monday opened its largest micronutrient manufacturing plant (32,400 tonnes per annum) at Pashamylaram near here. This is the company’s fifth plant.

Addressing a press conference on the factory premises, Executive Director of the company, Rahul Mirchandani, said that the production capacity of the fifth plant was more than the combined capacity of the four plants (21,600 TPA). The company also proposed to set up three more plants – at Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Panvel (60 km from Mumbai).

The Pashamylaram plant would also package the company’s other products like Macrofert, Boron 20, and Fertimax.

Mr. Mirchandani said that the manufacturing facility was fully automated and 100 per cent indigenous. It would be run by just 15 persons, avoiding human error. There would be no toxic effluents and emissions.

The company also proposed to import world-class formulations made to order for Indian conditions.

Aries, which did a turnover of Rs 74 crore in the last fiscal, was likely to grow to Rs. 104 crore this fiscal.
