This Day That Age
Dr. K.L. Shrimali, Union Minister for Education, said in Bubaneshwar on March 23 that almost all the Ministries of the Government of India had agreed to make available their records which were of more than 40 years standing for the purposes of bona fide research. Dr. Shrimali, who was presiding over the 33rd session of the Indian Historical Records Commission, said that the rules for scrutiny of excerpts had also been considerably liberalised. Reviewing the activities of the National Archives of India, Dr. Shrimali said that the Government of India had sanctioned the construction of a new wing of the National Archives of India building to provide room for expansion.
