ICL man of the series to get diamond-studded ball
NEW DELHI: A diamond-studded cricket ball was unveiled at a function held here on Monday. The ball, courtesy the Gitanjali Group, would be presented to the ‘man of the series’ of the Edelweiss 20s Indian Cricket League Challenge.
The function was attended by the captains of all the eight ICL teams — Inzamam-ul-Haq (Lahore Badshahs), Chris Cairns (Chandigarh Lions), Craig McMillan (Kolkata Tigers), Nathan Astle (Mumbai Champs), Marvan Atapattu (Delhi Giants), Damien Martyn (Ahmedabad Rockets), Stuart Law (Chennai Superstars) and Chris Harris (Hyderabad Heroes).
According to Kiran More, an ICL Executive Board Member, the race to win the ball worth Rs. 30 lakh would enhance the overall level competition.
