Nikhil outwits Hossain

KOLKATA: P. Shyam Nikhil of India, with an Elo rating of 2301, caused a major upset beating Bangladesh International Master Enamul Hossain in the opening round of the third Kolkata Open chess tournament at the Gorky Sadan here on Monday.

The top-seeded K. Sasikiran had a smooth opener against Taibur Rahman of Bangladesh.
