Karun seventh, Armaan 19th
CHENNAI: Karun Chandhok finished seventh in the third round of the GP2 Asia Series at Sepang on Sunday. The other Indian in the fray, Armaan Ebrahim, was 19th.
Karun, who started from 15th on the grid, was up to ninth by the end of the opening lap. He, however, lost a place to Super Nova Racing’s Fairuz Fauzy on lap four when he was forced wide. Karun spent the rest of the race trying to overtake Yelmer Buurman of Trust Team Arden and Fauzy, but ended just out of the points in seventh place.
Kamui Kobayashi of Dams Racing took the chequered flag ahead of ART Grand Prix’s Romain Grosjean.
