GPA holders’ plea

NEW DELHI: The General Power of Attorney Holders’ Association has written to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit asking her to wind up the co-operative house building societies in various parts of the Capital and help in restoring the rights of lakhs of GPA holders.

According to GPA holder R.P. Aggarwal, Section 94 of the Delhi Co-operative Societies Act which was brought in by the Government in 2003 clearly says that co-operative house building societies which have handed over their essential services to the MCD should be wound up within two months.
