Citizens show no interest

Bangalore: Unlike in rural areas, many people in the city are not interested in having their names in the voters’ list. BBMP Special Commissioner B.S. Ramprasad said that during the house-to-house survey conducted by BBMP personnel, many people refused to give any details stating that they were not interested in registering their names in the voters’ list. In many instances, the BBMP employees were told not to disturb them, he added. — Staff Reporter
