Police team in Lucknow

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: A city police team, accompanied by a special public prosecutor, has gone to Lucknow to secure through body warrant Mohammed Sabahuddin who is said to have had a role in the attack on the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) here.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Gopal B. Hosur said the members of the Anti-Terrorist Cell of the city police have gone to secure Sabahuddin and investigate his role in the attack. Ten days ago the local magistrate court rejected the application filed by the city police. “The team will be approaching a higher court for securing the body warrant,” he said.

Sabahuddin, an alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba operative, was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police for his alleged involvement in the attack on a Central Reserve Police Force camp in Rampur.
