Two-wheeler lifter held

CHENNAI: Police on Monday arrested a most wanted two-wheeler thief and recovered 19 vehicles from him.

A habitual offender, Kumar alias ‘German’ Kumar of Anbazhagan Poonga, Periamet, confessed to having committed the offence in Kilpauk, Vepery, Purasawalkam, Periamet and Sowcarpet areas and stole 32 two-wheelers.

He allegedly sold them to Gopi and Nagaraj of Tiruvallur district. In some vehicles, a few parts were removed and sold in the markets.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Kilpauk) K. Dharmarajan said Nagaraj was already in prison in connection with two-wheeler thefts.
