BANGALORE: Unable to bear harassment by her husband, a 65-year-old woman allegedly bludgeoned him to death in a vacant site off Hosur Road in Wilson Garden police station limits on Monday. According to the police, Arjunappa (75), a rag picker, was living with his wife, Channamma (65), in a makeshift tent in the vacant site. Arjunappa, who had the habit of consuming alcohol, had frequent quarrels with his wife and allegedly harassed her. The police said they suspected Channamma’s hand in Arjunappa’s death because of the frustration caused to her by his harassment. “We are collecting more evidence to be sure of this,” said an officer involved in the investigation. The police have recovered the stone that was used in the crime. The Wilson Garden police are investigating the case.
