Meet on broadband technologies

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A national conference on broadband technologies will be held here on March 27 and 28 under the auspices of the Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and the Computer Society of India, Thiruvananthapuram chapter. College Principal K.M. Raju told a press conference here on Tuesday that the conference would provide a common platform for academicians, researchers and professional engineers to share their views and experiences.

CEO and managing director of Infosys Technologies Kris Gopalakrishnan would inaugurate the conference and deliver the keynote address. Secretary, Department of Information Technology Ajay Kumar would preside over the function. The topic to be covered include future directions in wireless communication, WiMax and 3G technologies.
