Kapurthala: Three members of a family were burnt alive when a fire broke out in their house here on Tuesday. A burning cigarette left in the room by one of the victims apparently sparked the fire, the police said. Mitin, the only surviver, has been admitted to a private hospital at Jalandhar where his condition is stated to be out of danger. The deceased family members were identified as Rakesh Aggarwal (52), his wife Renu (50), and son Vinay Kumar (22). — PTI
