Siblings attacked

MAHABUBNAGAR: A brother and her sister were attacked by two persons in the busy New Town cross roads area in Mahabubnagar town on Tuesday.

According to the police Laxmi (21) was allegedly being harassed by the owner of their house Riyasat Khan for the past four years to love him. Unable to bear this, Laxmi’s family vacated the house. However, Riyasat Khan continued to harass her following which she decided to lodge a complaint with the SP. On Tuesday, Laxmi and her brother Maibu Yadav (19), were proceeding to the SP’s office when they were waylaid and attacked by Riyasath Khan and his accomplice. Both the injured were shifted to headquarters hospital. However, Maibu Yadav whose condition turned critical was shifted to Hyderabad. The Two Town police are investigating.
