Chicken pox in Virudhunagar

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Outbreak of chicken pox has been reported in some parts of the Virudhunagar district.

Collector V. Chandrasekaran, attributed this to the recent unseasonal rain. Stating that those affected with the disease would complain of fever, irritation in eyes, cold and small boils on the body, he said that such symptoms would not affect the patients or cause death. Medicines for the disease was being supplied free of cost in all Primary Health Centres, Mr. Chandrasekaran said.
