Students lock up college

CUTTACK: Demanding postponement of examinations, students of Bhubanananda School of Orissa Engineering (BOSE) have locked up their institution’s main gate for the past last two days. The students claim that due to acute shortage of faculty, their courses have not yet been completed and hence they are not prepared to sit for the annual examinations beginning from April 10.

Even after meeting the State Industries Minister, the vacancies have not yet been filled”, says Virat Kumar Nanda, a second year student. Armed police are deployed to maintain peace in the area.
