ALAPPUZHA: The most profound message that Santhigiri Ashram founder Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru gave to society was his own life, Fisheries Minister S. Sarma said here on Tuesday. Inaugurating the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of the guru at the Santhigiri Ashram at Chandiroor, near Cherthala, Mr. Sarma said the guru had led a life that upheld the values of humanity and compassion towards fellow beings. The guru, throughout his life, had worked towards the unity of mankind without caste or religious discrimination and to spread the message of God’s love in human minds, he said. A.M. Arif, MLA, former Minister Dominic Presentation, former MP Cyriac Thomas and Santhigiri Ashram authorities were present.
