SHIMLA: The interim bail of former Congress Minister Singhi Ram, who is facing charges of forgery and cheating, has been extended by the District and Sessions Judge up to March 31. The State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau here had registered a case against the former Minister and his daughter under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120 B of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly obtaining admission to educational institutions by procuring fake mark-sheets. The daughter of the senior Congress leader and former Civil Supplies Minister in the Virbhadra Singh Cabinet had allegedly submitted false Himachal Pradesh Education Board and National Open School mark-sheets to obtain admission to the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College and Convent of Jesus and Mary College in New Delhi. After failing in her plus 2 examination from Lawrence School Sanawar in Himachal, she allegedly submitted a fake mark-sheet of the Himachal Board at LSR College and then allegedly submitted another mark-sheet of National Open School at Convent of Jesus Mary College
