Duty cut flayed

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kera Karshaka Sangham has come out against the slashing of the import duty on edible oils and the ban imposed on the export of coconut oil by the Centre. N.D. Ramachandran Nair, leader of the Sangham, said here that the Centre’s decision would affect the families of 35 lakh small farmers who depended on coconut cultivation for their livelihood.
