Adopt humane approach, teachers told

VILLUPURAM: The teachers should adopt a humane approach to tackle the challenging situations in the classrooms, R. Natarajan, Professor of English, Government College of Education, Vellore, has said.
He was giving a guest lecture on ‘Teachers of the past and the present’ organised by Sri Sarada College of Education at New Edaikkal, Ulundurpet, recently. He dwelt upon the characteristics of teachers from the ‘Sangam’ period to the modern era. He said that the dedication and commitment of the teachers as described in the Tamil literary works helped in nurturing the culture and moulding the citizens.
Yatiswari Ananta Priya Amba, college secretary, called upon the teacher training candidates to emulate the best teachers.
