This Day That Age
Mr. N. Ramanujarao, Registrar of the Sri Venkateswara University, inaugurating the Sri Tyagaraja Swami festival in Tirupati on March 21, stated that steps for the establishment of a chair in Music were being taken by the University authorities. The celebrations were organised under the auspices of the Tyagaraja Swami Festival Committee. Mr. Ramanujarao congratulated the committee for organising such festivals and added that there were many great composers like Annamcharya in Andhra whose works should be made popular and appealed to them to strive to make the people music minded.
