Bihar MLA urges Centre to get in touch with British government

RJD member Bhim Singh says the boy is his nephew Sintu

Bindiya Devi says her son’s features match those of the boy

PATNA: The case of an abandoned boy in London had its echo in the Bihar Legislative Council on Tuesday with Chairman Arun Kumar directing the State government to get in touch with the Centre to verify his identity. There are reports that he is the boy who was kidnapped from Aurangabad district three years ago.

RJD member Bhim Singh raised the matter in the House saying that 9-year-old Gurinder was none other than his nephew Sintu who was kidnapped on March 3, 2005. The Chairman directed the State government to have the matter enquired, approach the Centre to get in touch with the British government to verify his identity.

According to Mr. Singh, a complaint of the boy going missing had been lodged the day he did not return from school. Again, on March 6, 2005, an FIR was lodged that he had been kidnapped. The police arrested a few persons in this connection but the boy was not traced.

The Aurangabad SP has since got in touch with the family members to examine their claim and consider the possible line of action to ascertain Gurinder’s identity.

Bindiya Devi is convinced that Gurinder is her lost son Sintu. “Everyone in the family is confident that the boy shown on TV channels is Sintu,” she asserted. “I want my son. There was no happiness in the family for three years. We are restless to see him and have him back in our fold.”

Bindiya Devi says her son’s features match those of the boy found in London.
