Dubai: Bahrain Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has praised the role played by the Indian community for the development of the Gulf country, saying the expatriates “have not come here on their own, they are here at our invitation.” The Prime Minister made the remarks when the newly formed Bahrain-India Society (BIS) members, led by its chairman and former Labour and Social Affairs Minister Abdulnabi Al Sho’ala called on him in Manama on Monday. The delegation also included the society patron and Indian Ambassador Balkrishna Shetty. — PTI
