Singapore XI posts win

Bangalore: Singapore XI defeated KSCA XI by 59 runs in a practice match at the RSI Ground here on Tuesday.

Bolstered by Sagar Kulkarni’s unbeaten 86, Singapore XI posted 242 for five in 40 overs and later bowled out KSCA XI for 183 in 39.1 overs.

The scores: Singapore XI 242 for five in 40 overs (Sagar Kulkarni 86 n.o., Chetan Suryawashi 51, Munish Ardra 43) bt KSCA XI 183 in 39.1 overs (Arjun Hoysala 40).

Young Lions Club in semifinals

Young Lions Club beat Wilson Garden CC by 68 runs to enter the semifinals of the KSCA league, Group I, fifth division competition.

The scores (quarterfinals): Young Lions Club 212 in 49.3 overs (Gopinath 40, Naresh five for 83) bt Wilson Garden CC 144 in 36.3 overs (Shaukath Ali five for 22); Blue Diamond Cricketers 125 in 26.2 overs (Sreenivas 43, Ranganath five for 34) lost to Deccan United CC 129 for four in 28.4 overs; Hammonds CC 209 for nine in 37 overs (J.
