Man commits suicide

VISAKHAPATNAM: A man committed suicide suspecting fidelity of his wife.

P. Lakshmana Kumar, 32, got married five years ago. The couple has a three-year-old son. Lakshmana Kumar, a car driver, was staying with his family near Appu Ghar at MVP Colony. Six months ago his wife reportedly developed illicit relationship with a stranger and deserted her husband.

The couple was reunited by elders. Two weeks ago, they shifted to China Gadhili. On Monday afternoon, his wife left home without informing him. Later, Lakshmana Kumar and his uncle Papa Rao searched for her in vain at the RTC Complex and other places. Lakshmana Kumar returned home around 9.30 p.m. On Tuesday morning, he was found hanging from a ceiling fan hook.

Girl ends life

A girl committed suicide reportedly due to stomachache.

D. Sridevi, 17, of Akkayyapalem was working at a bookshop. She had been getting recurrent stomachache for the past sometime. Vexed with the problem she hanged herself from a ceiling fan hook in her house.

The Fourth Town Police are investigating the case.

Youth injures himself

A mentally unsound youth reportedly cut himself with a blade and was admitted to the King George Hospital (KGH) in a critical condition on Tuesday.

D. Tapan Kumar of China Waltair was living with his mother. He was suffering from depression.
