Man from city drowns in Goa

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Sudhakar Poojari (22), a supervisor in Bangalore Central, the mall located on Mahatma Gandhi Road, drowned in Goa on Tuesday. He was a native of Shiriyara village in Udupi district.

Speaking to The Hindu, Sudhakar Poojari’s friend Vasanth Giliyaar said that Sudhakar had been on vacation to Goa along with his colleagues. The incident occurred while he was swimming along with his friends at the Arambol beach.

Low currents dragged Sudhakar into the sea and he drowned.

Body found

The body of the deceased has been found and will be handed over to the family after the autopsy.

Sudhakar’s father Narasimha Poojari left to Goa after hearing about the incident.
