Rain gain

PHOTO: RAJU V.

Grand sight: A man seems to be enjoying the flood flow at the Prakasam Barrage on Tuesday where irrigation authorities raised 60 of the 70 gates by one foot to release a surplus of 43,500 cusecs and maintain the mandatory level of 12 feet in the Krishna. The spate in the river at the barrage is a result of moderate to heavy rain in the intermediary catchment area between the barrage and Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir, due to the low pressure in the Bay. —
