The 25-year-old youth worked with pharma firm in USA He checks into a star hotel in Banjara Hills HYDERABAD: A non-resident Indian, Anand Pavan Kumar, 25, committed suicide in a star hotel in Banjara Hills, the Punjagutta police said on Tuesday. The reason behind his death was yet to be ascertained. The police did not find a suicide note. Kumar hailed from Guntur and all of his family members were in America. He was working with a pharmacy company in the USA. The unmarried youngster came from America to Hyderabad a month ago and resided in the house of his friend Bharat at New Bowenpally. He was to return to America and had booked his flight tickets. “He was supposed to board the flight on Sunday. His friends dropped him at the Shamshabad airport on Sunday. According to them, he had taken his boarding pass too,” Punjagutta Inspector M. Malla Reddy said. It is not yet known what happened later, but the fact was that Kumar did not board the flight. He must have returned to Banjara Hills and checked into a room in the star hotel. The hotel staff grew suspicious when they did not see him come out of his room since Monday morning. They alerted the police and opened the room with a master key. Kumar was found dead on the bed. Kumar sent an e-mail to his family members stating that he was committing suicide on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. A bottle of poison found in the room suggested that he ended his life by consuming it, the Inspector said.
