Thiruvananthapuram: The Accountant General (AG) of Kerala , in a statement here on Tuesday, has clarified that the punishment awarded to Santhosh Kumar, an employee in the Accountant General’s office here, is for gross insubordination. Reacting to reports in some newspapers on Monday’s agitation by a section of the employees against the punitive action against Mr. Santhosh Kumar, the Accountant General said the punishment was awarded by a competent authority after holding an inquiry with the full participation of Mr. Santhosh Kumar and after following all procedures under the rules. Can move court“If the employee wishes, he can represent against the penalty with higher authorities and courts of law,” the statement said.
