UFPO members arrested, freed

VIZIANAGARAM: United Forum of People’s Organisations on Wednesday picketed Collector’s Office demanding allocation of grants in Budget in proportion to population of different sections of people. The blockade started at 10.30 a.m. continued till 2.30 p.m. when the police intervened and used mild force to disperse them. When they offered resistance, the police bundled them into two waiting vehicles and took them to I town police station. They were released later.— Correspondent
