Demo against milk price hike

PUDUCHERRY: The National Federation for Indian Women (NFIW) on Wednesday staged a demonstration to demand immediate withdrawal of the increase in milk price.

Around 100 women and children participated in the demonstration.

“Milk is an essential commodity and it is important for children and elders. We oppose this price hike and it should be immediately withdrawn,” general secretary of NFIW B. Sarala said. — Staff Reporter
